APPARATUS FOR FABRICATING SOOT PREFORM

A soot preform manufacturing device is provided to prevent raw materials from being liquefied in a pipe by supplying the raw materials to a torch after mixing the raw material with the heated and dilution gas. The soot preform manufacturing device(100) is composed of at least one torch(130,140) for depositing a soot generated by flame hydrolysis, on a soot preform(120); a carburettor(150) for evaporating liquid raw material(S) and supplying the evaporated raw material to the torch through pipes(170,180); and a heater(160) for heating the dilution gas(GD). The dilution gas heated by the heater is supplied together with the evaporated raw material to the torch through the pipe. The heating temperature of the dilution gas is higher than a boiling point of the raw material.
