A full colour organic light-emitting device (OLED) comprising a light-emitting layer 12 located between an anode 10 and a cathode 11. The light-emitting layer comprises red, green and blue sub-pixels. The blue emitting material is fluorescent and at least one of the green and red emitting materials is phosphorescent. The metallic cathode, which injects electrons into each sub-pixel, comprises a first layer of a compound of a group 1, group 2 or transition metal; and a second layer comprising a material having a work function below 3.5 eV. |
