A portable terminal for reducing the distortion of a moving picture screen is provided to display frames of moving picture read according to a corrected synchronization signal on a display member by a control member. A camera member(110) photographs an image at the camera mode and transmits the photographed image to an image processing member(120) by the frame unit. The image processing member processes the image signal by the frame unit and outputs the frame image data in order to meet the characteristic and size of a display member(160). The image processing member includes an image CODEC(COder and DECoder), compresses the frame image data with a predetermined type or decompresses the compressed frame image data into the original frame image data. A pulse generating member(130) generates a predetermined conversion pulse in order to reduce the frame frequency of a vertical synchronization signal with a predetermined ratio.
