A mobile communication terminal capable of combining various function modules and a function module control method therefor are provided to automatically determine a kind of a combined function module and to execute a control program according to the function module. A body(100) judges a kind of a function module combined with a module connector(10), and controls the function module. A storing unit stores a control program corresponding to each function module. When a control program for the function module combined through the module connector(10) is not stored in the storing unit, the body(100) receives a corresponding control program from a predetermined server through a communication network or the function module through the module connector(10).
