A method for the treatment of Helicobacter infection preferably H. pylori infection in a mammalian host such as a human comprises administration to the infected host of an immunologically effective amount o f one or more Helicobacter antigen(s), preferably in association with a mucosal adjuvant such as cholera toxin or E.coli heat labile toxin.
