A mobile phone and FM transmitter assembly is provided to convert a sound source from a mobile phone into a sound of high quality by using an FM radio of a vehicle and a speaker of a car stereo and to use the converted sound. An FM transmitter(U) transmits a generated sound source of a mobile phone(H) to an FM radio. The FM transmitter(U) is separated from the mobile phone(H). An FM frequency generating circuit modulates a sound source signal from a receiver codec of the mobile phone(H), and transmits the modulated sound source signal to a vehicle or the general FM radio through an antenna. A frequency selecting unit of the FM transmitter(U) determines a frequency of the FM frequency generating circuit according to a frequency set up in a user setup picture of the mobile phone(H). When the FM transmitter(U) is mounted in the mobile phone(H), an ID generating unit allows the FM transmitter(U) to be recognized in the mobile phone(H). When the FM transmitter(U) is mounted in the mobile phone(H), software for driving and controlling the FM transmitter(U) is installed in the mobile phone(H).
