A mobile communication terminal and a multimedia data processing method therefor are provided to share hardware/software resources in a system and allow an MSM(Mobile Station Modem) to support an image generation function by generating a multimedia image by using voice data recorded in the MSM and video data recorded in a multimedia dedicated processor. When the generation of a multimedia image is selected, an MSM(3) records a voice signal inputted through a microphone(MIC), and outputs the recorded audio data. An MMP(MultiMedia Processor)(20) has a multiplexer. The multiplexer multiplexes image data inputted from a camera(7) and a video encoder(8) and the audio data inputted from the MSM(3) according to the generation selection of the multimedia image, and generates one multimedia file.
