FIELD: plastic working of metals, possibly manufacture of hollow articles by forming end members. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of heating hollow blank, profiling it while providing desired geometry size of outer surface of rod head by forming. Forming is realized until formation of solid portion whose length is no less than that of ready head. Then duct connected with cavity of rod body is drilled in said solid portion while blank is based onto outer surface of rod body, for example, on its part adjacent to head. ^ EFFECT: simplified procedure, lowered cost of pump rod manufacture. ^ 2 cl, 2 dwg |
