The seat has a base support (13) mounted pivotably on a frame around a transversal support axle (B). A base is mounted pivotably on the support around another transversal base axle (C), where an edge of the base remains above an upper edge of the backrest. The support pivots between use and storage positions where the axle (C) is at the front of the seat and is displaced rearwards and upwards of the seat, respectively. A transmission unit is placed between a backrest and base so that the movement of the backrest controls the movement of the base towards the storage position.
