A welding equipment capable of automating a welding operation of iron strips and performing the welding operation of iron strips promptly and completely is provided. An equipment(100) for welding iron strips(10,11) for manufacturing a metal pipe comprises: a clamp unit having a first clamp part(20) for selectively pressing a preceding iron strip and a second clamping part(22) for selectively pressing a succeeding iron strip; a cutting member(30) installed between the first and second clamp parts to cut the preceding iron strip and the succeeding iron strip such that a tail end of the preceding iron strip and a top end of the succeeding iron strip are parallel to each other in the state that the preceding iron strip and the succeeding iron strip are pressed by the clamp unit; transfer units(40) for transferring the first clamp part that is pressing the preceding iron strip or the second clamp part that is pressing the succeeding iron strip to contact the tail end of the preceding iron strip and the top end of the succeeding iron strip with each other; and a welding unit(50) for welding and bonding the tail end of the preceding iron strip and the top end of the succeeding iron strip to each other before the tail end of the preceding iron strip and the top end of the succeeding iron strip contact with each other.
