An ownership registration system using a wireless terminal having a built-in RFID reader and a method therefor are provided to combine information about the wireless terminal, which recognizes a product with a built-in RFID reader, with tag information of the product and register the combined information as ownership information, thereby confirming, providing, and managing information about an owner of the product having a corresponding electronic tag. An ownership registration method using a wireless terminal having a built-in RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) reader comprises the following steps of: detecting information of an RFID tag through the wireless terminal which the RFID reader is mounted on(A002); transferring own phone number and electronic information to a wireless base station; mapping and checking whether corresponding information is a pre-registered information or initially registered information(A008,A009); and recognizing, checking, and determining phone information and identification information of the wireless terminal, and detected electronic information.
