A measuring device and a measuring method for enlarging the measuring range with plural sensors are provided to measure the large range by installing plural sensors having the small normal operation ranges instead of a large sensor having the large normal operation range. A measuring device includes plural sensors(21,22) outputting values corresponding to input values from an object and having a normal input range of input values for normally sensing and a normal output range of output values according to the normal input range, and a controller(30) selecting the sensor outputting the value within the normal output range and calculating the input value according to the output value of the selected sensor. The normal input range of the sensor is different from the normal input range of the other sensor. Respective normal input ranges of plural sensors are successively arranged.
