PROCESS FOR PREPARING NON-ROUND TYPE CROSS-SECTIONAL POLYESTER

A method for manufacturing the polyester fibers with a modified section is provided to have a good dyeing characteristic through the superhigh speed spinning method. A polyethyleneterephtalate polymer is melted and spun by means of a spinneret under the constant conditions. The processed polyethyleneterephtalate polymer is cooled at a delay cooling member with the diameter of below 20 mm installed at the lower portion of the spinneret. Thereafter, the passed polyethyleneterephtalate polymer is passed through a cooling member with the maximum distance of 2-30 mm between the cold wind discharge surface and the filament and wound with the spinning speed of above 5200 m/minute by the highly oriented yarn method.
