An interface device is provided to realize data communication between two circuit devices such as a MIPS(Microprocessor without Interlocked Pipeline Stages) circuit device and an AMBA(Advanced Microcontroller Bus Architecture) protocol-based circuit device for processing data of different sizes according to different protocols. A command interpreter(110) interprets whether a command received from the first circuit device(10) represents data transfer or not. If the received command represents the data transfer, a data divider(124) receives specific bit data and a corresponding address from the first circuit device, divides the received data into the data of 2^n-bit unit, and assigns the address to each divided data based on the received address. A bus interface(130) converts the divided data and the corresponding address into a signal of a form fit for the second circuit device(20), and transmits the signal to the second circuit device through a bus(22).
