A dual antenna for a portable information terminal and a control method thereof are provided to extend a usage time of a battery by maintaining a reception sensitivity of the antenna over a certain level. In a dual antenna for a portable information terminal, a control unit controls a transmission/reception by selectively connecting a first antenna or a combined stylus-pen second antenna(44) to an RF module of the portable information terminal.
