METHOD FOR FORMING ALIGNMNET LAYER OF LCD

A method for forming an alignment layer in an LCD is provided to improve the surface uniformity of the alignment layer and prevent the deterioration of the alignment layer, by performing preliminary curing of a mixed solution two times under different temperatures. A mixed solution of a solvent and an organic polymer including polyimide and poly amic acid is coated on a substrate. The mixed solution is preliminarily cured two times under different temperatures, thereby volatilizing the solvent and realizing stable phase separation between the solvent and the organic polymer and an excellent alignment. The preliminarily cured mixed solution is completely cured under a temperature of 180 to 240 degrees centigrade.
