The stretcher has protection devices (2) which have an outer shape identical to the inner shape of ends of the stretcher and whose dimension is lower than the dimension of an end of a shell (1). The protection devices include rapid fixation systems (18) and guide pins (4), at each of its ends, sliding in guide rails (3). Locking systems (17, 17`) respectively lock the protection devices in a storage position or in a protection position.
