The method involves injecting a swelling agent in a cavity (5) of a hollow structure (1) by a lower orifice (6). A depression in the cavity is created simultaneously from an upper orifice (7) so that the product occupies a determined space of the cavity, where the depression is created by a vacuum pump (9). The swelling agent has an aqueous solution of metallic phosphate, oxyboron compound, and wollastonite compound. An independent claim is also included for a resin composition for the treatment of a hollow structure of a building.
