YARN HANDLING AREA REGULATORY MEMBER FOR SYNTHETIC FIBER PRODUCTION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE MEMBER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SYNTHETIC FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yarn handling area regulatory member further improved in the low friction between yarn and the member compared to conventional ones and also in long-term abrasion resistance and with few surface minute protrusions, and to provide a method for stably producing synthetic fiber with few fluffs and breakages over a long period using the above member. SOLUTION: The yarn handling area regulatory member for synthetic fiber production is such that the surface of a metallic basic material is coated with chromium-plated layer formed by galvanizing a chromium carbide alloy(Cr23C6)-containing chromium compound, wherein the number of minute protrusions each≥5μm in the longest major axis existing on the chromium-plated layer surface is one or less per cm2of the surface within at least the filament yarn traveling range of this member.
