PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus maintaining high definition and high quality by improving uniformity in electrification of an electrifying member by effectively cleaning attached matter to the electrifying member carrying out electrification by being brought into contact with a periphery surface of an image carrier. SOLUTION: To carry out a cleaning action of transferring the attached matter to the electrifying member 20 in a region which is not overlapping with a developer image forming region for forming a multi-colored developer image on the periphery surface of the image carrier 10.
