<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood pressure measuring apparatus capable of highly accurately measuring blood pressure continuously without performing re-pressurization by a cuff. <P>SOLUTION: The blood pressure measuring apparatus comprises a first pressure sensor 4 for measuring the blood pressure value (absolute value) of the forearm part by being attached to the forearm of a subject, a second pressure sensor 41 for measuring weak vibrations (relative value) appearing on the skin accompanying the contraction of a blood vessel with time by being attached to the wrist of the subject, and a CPU 25 for performing arithmetic processing on the basis of data obtained from both sensors 4 and 41. Then, preliminary measurement (acquisition of reference value) is obtained by using both first and second pressure sensors 4 and 41. In the preliminary measurement, the blood pressure value (absolute value) to be a reference is acquired by the first pressure sensor 4. Thus, in the main measurement, when one heartbeat pulse wave area Sn is calculated on the basis of detection signals Jb obtained from the second pressure sensor 41, the maximum blood pressure value Px1 and minimum blood pressure value Px2 of the subject can be decided with time on the basis of the transition of the one heartbeat pulse wave area Sn. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
