<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable disk array unit, capable of effectively preventing malfunction or a fault in a hard disk drive. <P>SOLUTION: The disk array unit includes a plurality of hard disks each storing data. In each hard disk drive side, a first direct current voltage supplied to each hard disk drive through a common power bus is converted into a second direct current voltage necessary for the hard disk drive concerned. A DC-DC converter includes a voltage conversion section for converting the first direct current voltage into the second direct current voltage; a control section for controlling the above voltage conversion section so as to restrain fluctuation of the above second direct current voltage, based on the second direct current voltage being output from the voltage conversion section; and a response characteristic switch section for switching the response characteristic of the control section against the fluctuation of the second direct current voltage, when a transient voltage fluctuation occurs in the second direct current voltage, so as to improve the response characteristic of the control section against the fluctuation of the second direct current voltage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
