An orthodontic implant capable of preventing an operated patient from feeling a sense of incongruity, capable of preventing a mucosa where a plate type implant is fixed from becoming necrosed, capable of eliminating the rotation of a plate in an oral cavity, and allowing a load to be applied thereto immediately after operation. The implant comprises the plate (1) and a screw (2). The plate (1) is generally formed in a plate shape, and a through hole (12) is formed in the plate at a position midway in the longitudinal direction and deviated in a direction orthogonal to the axis of the longitudinal direction. Female screws (12at, 12bt) are formed in the through hole (12) so as to be connected to a band (7) for fixing teeth. The screw (2) is formed of such a material that is hard enough to be able to advance into a maxillary (42) and fixable in the maxillary. Threads (24) are formed with the tip of the screw sharpened, a male screw (23) is formed at its head portion, and the male screw (23) formed at the head portion is formed to be engageable with the female screws (12at, 12bt) formed in the through hole (12) of the plate.
|
