A small and thin exposure apparatus is provided. A substrate (301) is supported only on one side in a shorter direction (403) of a substrate plane, i.e. in a direction orthogonally intersecting with a row direction wherein a plurality of light emitting elements (401) are arranged, at least in a section where the light emitting elements are arranged, and the substrate is supported only by one case member (201). Thus, deformation of the substrate due to a plurality of supports is almost completely eliminated even when the substrate is supported at a plurality of portions, the length of the shorter direction of the substrate is shortened, and the exposure apparatus can be further reduced in size and thickness.
