PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission material having color filter functions. SOLUTION: This is an optical transmission material for an optical transmission array and has a plurality of refractive-index distributed optical transmission materials of a round cross section arranged in parallel in one or more lines. It contains a light absorbent in the area including the center of the transmission material to reduce the transmissivity of one or two of the light fluxes of a wavelength of 470 nm, 525 nm, or 650 nm down to 5% or less. This method inputs the light from a white light source or a LED light source of RGB three primary colors to an end of the optical transmission array which has the above optical transmission materials arranged in parallel in one or more lines, and outputs this light from the other end.
