The invention relates to a system and a method for processing a profile of a solid, which profile is captured, preferably in a dynamic manner, to determine its wear. According to the invention, data of the captured profile of the solid are used as a control variable for controlling at least one surface treating machine, especially for use in the mechanic surface treatment of the wheel of a rail car. |
