Provided is a non-aqueous electrolyte battery, which has excellent high-rate discharge characteristics by using a lithium-titanium composite oxide having a high capacity and improved ion conductivity as an anode active material. The non-aqueous electrolyte battery comprises: a casing; a cathode provided in the casing; an anode provided in the casing and comprising a lithium-titanium composite oxide; and a non-aqueous electrolyte provided in the casing. In the non-aqueous electrolyte battery, the lithium-titanium composite oxide has a diameter of 6.9X10^2 angstroms or less and comprises rutile type TiO2, anatase type TiO2, Li2TiO3 and lithium titanate having a spinel-like structure, wherein each of rutile type TiO2, anatase type TiO2 and Li2TiO3 has a main peak intensity of 7 or less on the basis of the main peak intensity of lithium titanate taken as 100. |
