<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a redox flow battery system capable of restraining deterioration of cells due to temperature rise by restraining temperature rise inside the cells, during a state of standby stopping circulation of electrolyte solution. <P>SOLUTION: A stop-time load 2, consuming electric energy remaining in the electrolyte solution in the cell 10 during a state of stopping circulation of the electrolyte solution, is connected to a redox flow battery main body 1 carrying out charge/discharge by supplying the cell with the electrolyte solution. A switching part 3 for controlling supply and stop of electric energy from the battery main body 1 to the stop-time load 2 is arranged between the battery main body 1 and the stop-time load 2. When the circulation of the electrolyte is stopped, a switching part 3 is closed, the battery main body 1 is electrically connect to the stop-time load 2, electric energy of an activator remaining in the battery main body 1 is consumed at the stop-time load 2, and the battery main body1 is restrained from self-discharge. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
