PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high quality liquid crystal display by securing sufficient storage capacitance (Cs) while obtaining a high aperture rate, and effectively reducing the load on the capacitive wiring conductors (pixel write-in current) by dispersing it over the time. SOLUTION: The capacitive wiring conductors 107 are laid in parallel with the signal lines 109 by forming scanning lines 102 on a layer different from the gate electrodes 106. Since the pixels are connected to the independent capacitive wiring conductors 107 through a dielectric, the potential of the capacitive wiring conductors do not fluctuate when writing in adjacent pixels, and excellent images can be obtained.
