PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single sewing machine, selectively operated to form a knotted stitch and a double chain stitch by quickly and simply replacing a very small amount of parts. SOLUTION: This sewing machine 1, which is preferably a sewing machine of industrial type, includes a base 2 designed to mechanically saw up two cloth pieces using different sewing stitches by replacing a very small amount of parts stored in the base 2 itself.
