The invention relates to a detachable portable placard comprising two faces. More specifically, the invention relates to a detachable frame which is used to fix a paper or plastic laminate closed-loop band (5) which is equipped with a central hole. The invention solves the problems associated with transport, reduces the space occupied by the device and renders same reusable. The inventive device comprises a rectangular post (4) having a much greater width than depth, which can be divided into sections (10) and two cross-members, namely: an upper cross-member (3) which is equipped with a central blind recess (2), and a lower cross-member (6) which is equipped with a central through hole (8), both of said cross-members being disposed horizontally inside the band. The aforementioned post extends through the band, passing first through the lower cross-member and extending into the recess in the upper cross-member. By sliding the cross-member, the band is pulled taut such as to produce a smooth rear surface and a smooth front surface on which words and images can be printed. Optionally, a pin extends through the hole in the band (7), the cross-member and the post. A sleeve (9) is used to connect the sections of the post (10) where applicable. Alternatively, the cross-members can comprises two edgewise-disposed battens having separators positioned therebetween.
