A method for adding user identification information and a combo device having the same are provided to chase the first document scan user and weight the management responsibility of the scan data. An OPE(Operating Panel)(110) includes plural function keys and character keys for setting various functions of a combo device(100). A storage member(120) is constructed by a ROM(Read Only Memory) and a RAM(Random Access Memory). A PC(Personal Computer) interface member(130) is connected with a host computer as an external device and supports the communication interface with the host computer. A scanning member(140) scans the scan target document and reads the image data according to the control of a control member(180).
