<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample analyzer capable of showing sufficiently performance of an avalanche photodiode, and analyzing a sample highly accurately. <P>SOLUTION: This sample analyzer is equipped with a WBC detection part 5 wherein the avalanche photodiode is used as a light receiving element. The WBC detection part 5 is provided with a flow cell 51, a semiconductor laser light source 52, a side condensing lens 55, a dichroic mirror 56 and the avalanche photodiode 57.
