<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a roller member which prevents the occurrence of a pinhole defect and a weld line in a product roller by preventing air from remaining in a raw material injected into a mold and the roller member obtained by the method. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing the roller member having a shaft 3 and a non-foamed elastomer layer molded integrally on the periphery of the shaft 3, with the shaft 3 set on the center line of a hollow, pillar-shaped mold main body 1, the raw material 4 is injected into the mold main body 1 and molded integrally. Both ends of the mold main body 1 are closed by cap members 2a and 2b having at least three gates 5a and 5b communicating with the outside evenly in the peripheral direction and the support part 6 of the shaft 3, and the raw material 4 is injected through the gate 5b of the lower cap member 2b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
