<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make speedy printing in a printer to perform charge processing. <P>SOLUTION: The printer 10 calculates a charge amount by using acquired print data and a charge table, and judges whether the calculated charge amount is not more than an amount shown by credit information. Printing is stopped when the charge amount is larger than the amount shown by the credit information, and the printing is made by a print processing section 11 when the charge amount is not more than the amount shown by the credit information.
