The pipe, manufactured from polyolefin, has at least one layer (1) of fluoridated polyolefin encompassing the surface of the pipe. The fluoridated polyolefin is produced by the impingement of the pipe by a gas mixture of nitrogen and a gas phase containing fluorine. The pipe is a corrugated pipe. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a drinking water piping system including a drinking water pipe made from a polyolefin; and (2) a use for the pipe, which is for the protection of a drinking water pipe against ingress of hydrocarbons which are mobile in the ground.
