The coating has a combination of a foam material layer (1) and a sealing layer (2) coated on a base and/or walls of a swimming pool and/or paths/passageways existing in the pool. The layer (2) is waterproof and shock proof, made up of polyurethane and has high elasticity, tear strength and a high stability against mechanical loads. An undercoat is applied below the layer (1), and a fabric layer is arranged between the layers (1, 2).
