PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EL illumination type switch in which deterioration of an EL element due to external pressure can be suppressed without causing unevenness of illumination. SOLUTION: The switch comprises an EL sheet 10, a rubber sheet 20, a dome switch 40, and a substrate 30. A light emitting part 15 is formed immediately below a keytop 50. The size of the light emitting part 15 is established smaller than the keytop 50. A transparent electrode 15 is installed on the front surface side of the light emitting part 15 and a back electrode 16 is installed on the rear face side. The size of the transparent electrode 15 is established larger than the light emitting part 15. Out of the back electrode 16, the electrode main part 161 contacting the back face of the light emitting part 15 floats from the lower sheet. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
