A disposable diaper (1), comprising an absorbing body having a surface sheet and an absorbing core. A waist opening part and a pair of leg opening parts are formed in the diaper. Elastic members for raising the side absorbers are disposed near the outer edges of the pair of side absorbers along the longitudinal direction. The side absorbers (42) are formed to be vertically raised when a wearer wears the diaper. Accordingly, when the wearer wears the diaper, a mounting pressure in the area (91) of the diaper in contact with the portion of the wearer starting at an ilium ridge to an anterior superior iliac spine is higher than a mounting pressure at the waist opening part.
