PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF ORGANIC PARTICLES AND UNIT FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF

A process for the production of organic particles by mixing a solution of an organic material in a good solvent with a poor solvent for the organic material which solvent is compatible with the good solvent to form particles of the organic material in the liquid mixture, wherein the formation of the particles is conducted by any of the following steps (a), (b), and (c): the step (a) of feeding the solution of an organic material and the poor solvent into a mixing vessel through specified numbers of feed ports respectively, mixing both under stirring in the vessel to form organic particles, and taking out the obtained liquid mixture containing the organic particles, the step (b) of providing a stirring zone filled with the poor solvent in a container, feeding the solution of an organic material into the stirring zone, mixing the solution with the poor solvent in the stirring zone under stirring to form organic particles, and making the particles flow out of the stirring zone into another zone of the container, and the step (c) of mixing the solution of an organic material with the poor solvent under shearing.
