TEMPERATURE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR DETACHABLE BUILD CHAMBER USED IN LASER SINTERING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable quick start of another build cycle without providing a component formed during a prior build cycle with a bad influence in a laser sintering apparatus.

SOLUTION: A build chamber 25 is connected to a temperature management station 26 to preheat the build chamber 25 at an operation temperateure of the laser sintering apparatus or the close temperature thereof. The build chamber 25 detaches from the temperature management station 26 to insert into the laser sintering apparatus. Building is completed by operating the laser sintering apparatus to form at least one component 45 in a cake with the component comprising a melting powder and a non-melting powder. The build chamber 25 is removed from the laser sintering apparatus to connect this chamber to the temperature management station 26. Cooling of the build chamber 25 is controlled to reduce the temperature of the build chamber 25 and the cake with the component to a temperature at which the cake with the component is broken and at least one component 45 therein can be removed.
