<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive system for a vibration type actuator capable of simplifying a drive circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The vibration body 10 of a linear ultrasonic actuator 6 is so constituted as to be stimulated in an A-mode and a B-mode. An AC signal having a frequency in the vicinity of the resonance frequency in the A-mode or the B-mode is applied with respect to either between the electrode Va of the vibration body 10 of the linear ultrasonic actuator 6 and a common electrode Vc or between an electrode Vb and the common electrode Vc. The electrode applied with the AC signal is selected by switching elements 4, 5 which operate on the basis of the signals S1, S2 from a drive direction switcher 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
