<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device capable of executing stray light adjustment and laser power calibration even while an optical disk is loaded. <P>SOLUTION: When an offset amount caused by a stray light generated in an optical pickup 20 is detected, a light shielding member 30 is arranged in the optical path of a laser beam emitted from a polarized beam splitter 26 toward an optical disk 10. A laser beam emitted from a semiconductor laser 21 and reflected on the polarized film 26a of the polarized beam splitter is applied to the optical disk 10 to enter the light shielding member 30. The application of the laser beam reflected on the polarized film 26a of the polarized beam splitter 26 to the optical disk 10 is blocked by the light shielding member 30, and the reflection of the laser beam on the light shielding member 30 is also prevented.
