PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for treating a workpiece which is made by integrally forming a product part and a non-product part to be removed later, wherein the product part is processed in an automation process without requiring a device for indexing an attitude or taking time for indexing the attitude. SOLUTION: A product part (W1) is indexed to a prescribed attitude on a jig (25) using non-product parts (W2, W3) as indexing members, and fixed by the jig (25).
