PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cigarette case from which a cigarette received therein can not be taken out before the passage of a preliminarily set time but can be taken out after the passage of a preliminarily set time. SOLUTION: This cigarette case 1 is characterized by comprising a case 2 having an opening 18 in the upper portion to receive a cigarette A, a case lid 3 whose one end side is rotatably fixed to one side edge of the opening 18 of the case 2 and whose other end side has a cigarette takeout port 4, a holding portion 15 disposed to freely lock or unlock the other end side of the case lid 3, a movable partition plate 5 vertically movably disposed to form a partition space for enclosing only the upper portion of a cigarette A in the case, under the cigarette takeout port 4 of the case lid 3, a movable lid 6 for opening or closing the cigarette takeout port 4 in interlock with the upward or downward movement of the movable partition plate 5, and a movable partition plate-locking portion 13 for locking the movable partition plate 5 so that the movable partition plate 5 can not be moved upward for only a preliminarily set time 91.
