A radiation shielding composition (I) having a free flow property, comprises lead oxide material of a predetermined particle size and an adhesive. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) the preparation of (I); and (2) an X-ray system (A) comprising an X-ray source, an enclosure for the X-ray source and (I) coated on the enclosure.
