An eco-friendly vegetation structure for a levee of water source is provided to reduce a period of construction by piling up gabions on the side of water source when constructing a levee and to improve conditions for growth of plants by setting soil panels on the top of gabions. An eco-friendly vegetation structure for a levee of water source comprises many gabions(100) piled on a middle site and a slope after pit excavation to the fixed height, a cross-shaped panel(200) adhered closely to the contact plane of each gabion, soil panels(300) manufactured in the right hexagonal shape by mixing soil and fertilizer and the placed on the top of the gabions, a soil layer formed by paving soil on the top of the soil panel to the fixed height, a drainage box(400) installed on the gabion set on the uppermost part of the slope of a levee and provided with a guide plate(420) projected to one side of a right hexagonal box(410) and a rectangular drain groove(414), and a filter(500) inserted to the drain groove of the drainage box in the shape of a net to prevent the inflow of impurities.
