PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a racing pneumatic tire capable of shortening lap time by improving lateral rigidity and fore-and-aft rigidity, while restricting a rise of vertical rigidity of the tire. SOLUTION: Two layers of carcass layers 5a and 5b for reinforcing between a pair of annular beads 1a are layered so that cords are inclined substantially symmetrically in the tire circumferential direction PD, and an angle of the cord with respect to the tire circumferential direction PD is set at 40 to 80°in a region F of 10% of a belt width from a widthwise end of six belt layers to a tire equator line CL side, and set larger by at least 5°than that of the region F and at 75°or greater in the vicinity of the tire equator line CL and in the vicinity of the tire maximum width position PW.
