PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide silica composite resin particle that does not reduce brightness of the surface emission of a light diffusing material because it is excellent in light diffusion and light transmission. SOLUTION: The invention relates to the light diffusing resin composition comprising fine particles of silica with an average particle size of≤500 nm in a transparent or translucent matrix resin as the light diffusing material.
