PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic polymer composition which has an excellent compatibility with rubber components used for tires and other rubber products and has such characteristics peculiar to a topological bond as rubber characteristics and a low energy loss in the temperature range where the tires are used without causing fluidization and a pneumatic tire containing the composition. SOLUTION: The elastic polymer composition has polycatenane structures having sulfur atoms. The polycatenane structures are bonded with each other with chemical crosslinks or ionic crosslinks.
